Alamire wins British Library contract to record the soundtrack for their 2009 exhibition celebrating 500 years since the coronation of Henry VIII. 'Henry's Music' will include a world premiere recording of the contents of MS Royal 11.e.xi (a royal choirbook gifted to King Henry in 1516), which is to be produced in full-colour facsimile by the Folio Society, and tribute motets by Robert Fayrfax, Philippe Verdelot, and John Taverner. Alamire will be joined by the cornet and sackbutt ensemble QuintEssential and gothic harpist Andrew Lawerence-King.

The programme will appear on the OBSIDIAN label and will be toured extensively throughout the UK in 2009, and the highlight will be an afternoon recital and evening concert at the British Library on the actual anniversary day, 24 June 2009. The CD will be released in January 2009.
