NEWS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ON CD!!

A splendid 1965 concert by the Dave Brubeck Quartet with Paul Desmond recorded in Ontario, Canada.
As a bonus, all of the music from an extremely rare 1962 TV broadcast featuring the same group.
The most famous incarnation of the Dave Brubeck Quartet was formed in 1957. Drummer Joe Dodge left the group in 1956 to spend more time with his wife and children and was replaced by Joe Morello. Bassist Norman Bates also left the group the following year for the comforts of home and family, and Brubeck chose Eugene Wright to take his place on bass. With Morello and Wright in the fold, the 'Classic Quartet' was born. Although Brubeck and Desmond played with several musicians over the years, this new group of Brubeck, Desmond, Wright and Morello would gain worldwide celebrity and tour the globe with their music. The present CD contains all of the music recorded during a live 1965 performance in Strattford, Ontario, Canada, during the Strattford Music Festival.
Professionally taped from a radio broadcast, the sound quality is acceptable and the music is certainly excellent, presenting works from the quartet s various previous albums.
The same can be said about our bonus tracks, taken from a rare 1962 TV broadcast.
