A very rare, previously unissued live performance by the Dexter Gordon Quintet with Woody Shaw, recorded at the Village Gate, in New York, on October 25, 1976.

This concert precedes the well-known Village Vanguard sets issued as 'Homecoming' by about a month and a half. Gordon had just arrived to the United Stated from Europe, where he had been living for many years.

The set presented here contains the only existing versions of Horace Silver's "Strollin'" and "You've Changed" by this line-up.
