Brahma album for sale by Barry Altschul / Ray Anderson was released Dec 11, 2001 on the Sackville Recordings label. Barry Altschul's 1980 trio (which had recorded a live set for Moers Music in 1979) consisted of trombonist Ray Anderson, bassist Mark Helias and the leader/drummer. Brahma songs In general, the music on this Sackville release is quite spontaneous and exploratory, but Anderson's playing sometimes hints strongly at earlier styles, particularly on "Lism" and the ballad "Irina."
