The first CD by Carolyn Hume and Paul May, ZERO (Leo Lab CD 066), got outstanding reviews and was the best jazz CD of 2000 by The Independent. On their second recording, the pianodrums duo deepens even further their intimate mood of beautiful melancholy. There is a touch more keyboards on this recording, and the duo brings Duke Garwood on clarinets on a couple of tracks and a haunting female voice on another piece.
