As a bonus, we have added two 45 RPM versions of tunes from the LP, as well as the trio album Jimmy Smith Plays Fats Waller (Blue Note BST-84100), recorded during the same year, and featuring the exact same formation as the trio tracks from Bashin' with his regular guitarist and drummer, Quentin Warren and Donald Bailey, respectively. As its title clearly indicates, it presents a selection of tunes composed or regularly performed by the great Fats Waller, who was one of the first jazzmen to devote extensive recordings to the organ.
