Zeszłej wiosny wydawnictwo Curling Legs wpadło na trop pewnej bardzo utalentowanej wokalistki, która akurat miała wystąpić z zespołem w klubie jazzowym w Oslo. Byliśmy bardzo zaskoczeni, gdy miejsce okazało się być wypełnione entuzjastyczną widownią. Wokalistką była Hilde Marie Kjersem (23-latka) a jej styl to energia, szczerość i otwartość w jednym. Uderzył nas także stopień porozumienia w zespole. Kilka tygodni później Hilde podpisała z nami kontrakt na 3 płyty!
Pierwsza z nich zatytułowana jest Red Shoes Diary.

Last spring the label Curling Legs were tipped off that a very talented, unknown singer and her band were to play at a jazz-club in Oslo. We were quite surprised that the place was packed with an enthusiastic audience. The singer was Hilde Marie Kjersem (23 years) and her style was very personal and energetic at the same time. We were also struck by the level of interplay of the band. A few weeks later Hilde was signed for 3 albums! The first of which is called: Red Shoes Diary.
In addition to Hilde Marie Kjersem, the band, Tub Quartet consists of Andreas Hessen Schei, piano / Magne Vestrum, bass / Pĺl Hausken, drums
The music is composed by Hilde Marie Kjersem and arranged by TUB Quartet. It reminds of a mix between Joni Mitchell, Ani de Franco and .. Hilde Marie. The title Red Shoes Diary refers to Hilde's contemplations about life in general and as it is experienced by her in particular.
