Liner notes by Federico Scoppio:
Whatever can this big blue be, one asks oneself. It could be the colour of the sea and salt, or the endless sky, but it might also be understood in the sense of the Blues – understood more as a visceral, musical feeling than as a musical genre – that has been vitalizing modern music for over one hundred years. Actually, by reading the names of the songs, one might say the four band-members are conjuring up other imagery, following a dream, but never escaping from reality: Temple in Tokyo, Deep Sea Travel, Rise & Fall and Building the Road. Here, the empathetic sharing of choices and direction is a truly qualifying component of the work: a kind of ambient minimalism emphasises the band’s introspection, but not excessively so. Their music is not very tangible. The writing is quite refined, managing to define multifaceted, rich sounds, but not uselessly ornate, finely virtuoso in themselves. A variety of suggestions, a multitude of ideas, as the title implies… these four young men from Finland are paving their way and it would be a good idea to remember it.
