Nagranie to powstało pod patronatem Dalaj Lamy oraz we współpracy z dwoma instytucjami: Tibet House oraz Foundation of Universal Responsibility. Do płyty dołączona jest 44 stronnicowa książeczka ilustrowana fotografiami znanego amerykańskiego fotografika Johna Isaaca (www.johnisaac.com). Zawiera ona także przesłanie Dalaj Lamy z jego podpisem i zapis wykładu, jaki jego świątobliwość wygłośił podczas festiwalu Global Event of Sacred Music. Prócz tego znajduje się tam esej na temat współzależności religii i muzyki jednego z najbardziej znanych indyjskich muzykologów dr Ashok'a Ranade. Na płycie znalazło się 12 utworów nagranych na żywo przez Rogera Shorta podczas festiwalu Global Event of Sacred Music w indyjskim Bangalore w kwietniu 2000 roku.

This record has been produced under the patronage of HH Dalai Lama with collaboration of the Tibet House and the Foundation of Universal Responsibility. The CD includes a 44 pages booklet, illustrated by photos of well known American photographer John Isaac (www.johnisaac.com) and:

• A message by HH Dalai Lama with his signature
• The transcrition of HH Dalai Lama speech
• A study on the relation between music and religion by well known Indian musicologist Dr. Ashok Ranade
• Presentation of each title

The 12 tracks were recorded live by Roger Short (BBC World) at the Global Event of Sacred Music held in Bangalore in April 2000. All the tracks have been mastered and all noises and applauses removed.
