An all-star New York session linking three pillars of contemporary improvisation: trumpeter Peter Evans, bassist Joe Morris, and drummer Tyshawn Sorey. Tracked at The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn on January 30, 2025 by Aaron Nevezie, the album presents four expansive pieces-"Surroundings," "Grasp," "Applicable," and "Each of These Things".
The trio arrives with deep interconnections. Evans and Sorey have worked together in multiple contexts (including iterations of Evans's Being & Becoming), while Morris's long career as a guitarist-turned-multi-instrumentalist includes extensive collaborations with both Sorey and Evans.
