Faust's playing, as ever is alluring and she is affectionately complemented by the Akademie für Alte Musik, Berlin directed by violinist Bernhard Forck.
Gramophone Magazine
In league with the high-adrenalin Berlin band, her playing has all the finesse, colour and flamboyant theatricality Telemann's cosmopolitan music demands…If you're still suspicious about Telemann's compositional fertility, these joyous, uninhibited performances could be just the answer.

Brawurowe wykonanie telemannowskich arcydzieł zapiera dech w piersiach swym dynamizmem i mistrzowskim wykonaniem.

Editor's info
With more than 125 concertos to his credit, Telemann was one of the pioneers of this genre that had flowered in Italy. Combining daring, humour and emotion, he particularly delighted in exploring the virtuosity of the violin, its gift for imitation and its lyricism… Alongside other works of his where the violin also takes centre stage, Isabelle Faust and the Academie für Alte Musik Berlin showcase several jewels from his output of unimagined opulence.

The Frog concerto, with its imitative croaks, is a definite highlight. Watch out as well for the furious group fiddling in the French-style Ouverture-Suite, and the mesmerising Circle Canon, now attributed to the composer and flautist Johann Joachim Quantz: a track I wanted to last for ever, much like the album. Forget the slurs. Telemann rocks.
