Townes Van Zandt's 1978 debut studio album for Tomato Records was produced by the legendary Chips Moman at American Studios in Nashville and features some of the Texan troubadour's strongest songs: "When She Don't Need Me", "Loretta", "No Place To Fall" (later a Townes duet with Willie Nelson) and the haunting title track as well as an inspired cover of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love?".

Beautifully remastered and lavishly repackaged with a full-color booklet, the release is part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Van Zandt's career, commemorating his beginnings with Poppy and Tomato Records. The sleeve is a recreation of the original LP and recreates Milton Glaser's graphic design and Wood Newton's photography from Glaser's studio files, while the 16-page fully illustrated booklet features extensive liner notes by Lola Scobey with a rare Townes interview, photos and full lyrics. Townes Van Zandt's death in 1997 at the age of 52 robbed the world of a troubled genius as well as one of America's finest songwriters.
