Willie Dixon is one of the musicians who shaped the Chicago blues. He was, especially during the years he worked at Chess Records, the most important songwriter and producer of Chicago blues. From his pen came some of the classic titles of the genre. On this album, Dixon gathered nine of his songs from the 1950s and 1960s and re-recorded them with a studio band of important Chicago blues musicians such as Walter Horton.
