Album „The Lockdown Sessions” został nagrany na przełomie 2020 i 2021 roku. Na płycie znalazł się m.in.. Utwór „Comfortably Numb 2022”, który pochodzi z amerykańskiej części trasy koncertowej Watersa „This Is Not A Drill”. Materiał wyprodukowany jest przez samego artystę oraz Gusa Seyfferta, a towarzyszyli im Joey Waronker, Dave Kilminster, Jonathan Wilson, Jon Carin, Jess Wolfe, Holly Laessig, Bo Koster oraz Ian Ritchie.
Pięć utworów pochodzi z czasów Watersa w legendarnym zespole Pink Floyd oraz jego późniejszej solowej kariery. „Mother” oraz „Vera” wydane były na albumie „The Wall”, a „Two Suns In The Sunset” oraz „The Gunner’s Dream” znalazły się na ostatnim krążku nagranym z Pink Floyd – „The Final Cut”. Natomiast „The Bravery of Being Out Of Range” to kompozycja pochodząca z jego solowej płyty „Amused To Death”.

The Lockdown Sessions is an album by British musician Roger Waters, released on 9 December 2022 by Legacy Recordings. It compiles home recordings he made during lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, later remastered for this release. All of the songs are re-recordings of tracks from his previous work with Pink Floyd (The Wall and The Final Cut) and solo (Amused To Death).
Most of the songs were previously performed in these versions during the encore of his Us plus Them Tour. The reimagined "Comfortably Numb 2022" was introduced as the show opener for his This Is Not a Drill concerts, this rendition differs from the original version in its absence of guitar solos and being performed in a slower tempo, like a dirge.
