Z radością przedstawiam Państwu album Celebrating the Journey, na którego realizację przyszło mi poczekać kilka dobrych lat. Wiem, że wyczekiwała go także część słuchaczy, posiadających w swojej kolekcji płytę Love Revisited (For Tune: 038). Dlaczego tak długo? Co to za podróż? Na te pytania odpowie, być może, sama muzyka. Nie mogę jednak oprzeć się pokusie, aby zostawić Państwu kilka wskazówek. Przenieśmy się zatem do roku 2010. Wtedy światło dzienne ujrzał mój fonograficzny debiut zatytułowany We’ll Be Together Again. Pracowałem nad nim jeszcze jako student trzeciego roku, na wskroś przesiąknięty artystycznymi ideałami, pasją, nadzieją, ale też niepozbawiony obaw o to, jak moja muzyka zostanie odebrana. Jednocześnie przez cały czas towarzyszyło mi subtelne, ale silne i nieustępliwe przekonanie, by iść za wewnętrznym głosem, że będzie dobrze i prędzej czy później my – czyli ja i Państwo – będziemy znów razem za sprawą muzyki.
Od wydania debiutanckiego krążka mija ponad jedenaście lat. Był to czas poszukiwań, niełatwych decyzji, nadziei i zawodów, porażek i sukcesów, zwątpienia i wiary. Czas podróży, niekiedy upływającej błogo na wygodnej kanapie limuzyny, a innym razem ciągnącej się w nieskończoność za kierownicą zardzewiałego kompaktu. Droga usłana niespodziankami, cennymi lekcjami, a przede wszystkim spotkaniami z wyjątkowymi ludźmi, którzy inspirowali mnie do tego, by poszukiwać piękna i do niego dążyć. Cieszę się z tej podróży. Chcę jednak zaznaczyć, że Celebrating the Journey nie jest jej podsumowaniem czy kresem. Jest jedynie przystankiem w miejscu dobrze znanym i bliskim, choć nieodwiedzanym przez lata. Wszystko wokół, tak znajome, choć postrzegane teraz inaczej… Miejsce pozostało takie samo. Zmienił się człowiek. Nie zmieniła się natomiast dawna wewnętrzna pewność – została jedynie utrwalona wiarą w to, że każda podróż ma swój sens i cel. Nie zawsze są one widoczne, ale kiedy znikają za mgłą, warto wierzyć, że niebawem ukażą się wraz ze świtem. Trzeba w to wierzyć. You Must Believe in Spring. (Wojciech Myrczek)

It’s such a joy to present the album Celebrating the Journey, for which I have ultimately had to wait quite a few years. I know it was also anticipated by some of our audience who have the Love Revisited album in their collection (For Tune: 038). Why did it take so long? What is this journey? Perhaps the answer to these questions will come from the music itself. However, I cannot resist the temptation to leave you with a few clues. We need to go back to 2010. That was when my recording debut, We’ll Be Together Again, saw the light of day. I was already working on it as a third-year student, so full of artistic ideals, passion, hope, but also not without some fear about how my music would be received. At the same time, I was always accompanied by the subtle though strong and persistent conviction that I should follow my inner voice, that things would be fine and, sooner or later, we — meaning me and you out there — would be brought together once more through the music.
It's been over eleven years since that debut album. This has been a time of searching, difficult decisions, hopes and disappointments, failures and successes, doubting and believing. It was a time for travelling: time sometimes spent blissfully on a comfortable limousine seat, other times stretching endlessly as I sat behind the wheel of a rusty compact car. It was a road strewn with surprises, valuable lessons and, above all, encounters with exceptional people who inspired me to seek beauty and strive for it. I’m happy to have travelled that journey. However, I do want to emphasise that Celebrating the Journey is not its summary or its end. It’s only a stopover somewhere familiar and close though not visited for years. Everything around me so well-known though perceived differently now… The place is the same. The person has changed. What hasn’t changed is my earlier inner conviction — that has only been strengthened by the belief that every journey has its meaning and its goal. They are not always visible, but when they disappear behind the fog, it’s worth believing that they’ll reappear soon with the dawn. We should believe it. You Must Believe in Spring.
