TYRONE WASHINGTON Natural Essence (1968 US first press 6-track LP on Blue Note's 'Division Of Liberty' label with 'Van Gelder' stamp in the run-outs, also starring Woody Shaw on Trumpet, James Spaulding on Alto & Flute, Kenny Baron on Piano, Reginald Workman on Bass & Joe Chambers on Drums, pasted picture sleeve with catalogue inner. The sleeve is still in the original open shrink & the vinyl is Excellent with few signs of play BST84274).

The Allmusic review by Ken Dryden awarded the album 41 stars stating "Only 23 at the time of the recording, the tenor saxophonist composed six originals and is joined by other promising young lions who went onto great careers... Washington shows the influence of John Coltrane during his rapid-fire runs, while his playing during his more straight-ahead works proves to be more memorable".
