The meeting between the Neapolitan “electro-acoustic noise” duo Aspec(t) and the polish drummer Andrzej Zaleski aka Zalaski happened in Warsaw in April 2012, during Aspec(t)’s tour featuring the expanded cinema of 70fps, and continued in Naples one year after, where they recorded “Droga”.
Reel-to-reel tape recorder, self-built electronics instruments, feedback systems join here Zalaski’s unpredictable rhythms, to create textures and interactions full of energy and dynamics. If on one side they look at the more serious electro-acoustic, on the other they don’t forget the playful side of improvisation, leaving room for unexpected mashups of songs, quotations, parodies.
One of the most obvious “false friends” between Italian and polish language, “Droga” can steel hold the profound sense of a meeting that is based on stupidity as well as on intellectual refinements, that is visceral and coarse like a Neapolitan fishermen and strong and imperturbable like a bison of Alaska.

Aspec(t) are SEC_ and Mario Gabola from Naples. Appreciated for their original mix of electro-acoustic detailed improvisation and power electronics/noise visceral attitude, they have played all around Europe and organized hundreds of concerts in their home city.
SEC_ plays reel-to-reel tape machine to manipulate sound of different sources and to generate and control feedbacks; Mario Gabola plays his self-built photosensitive system that interacts with light devices and with no-input feedback mixing board.
As a duo they have released one LP, two CD’s (the latter “Medusa” in collaboration with Dave Phillips) and various CDr and cassettes. Together or separately they have collaborated with musicians like Jeorme Noetinger, Dave Phillips, Arnaud Riviere, Rudolf Eb.er, Andy Guhl, Olivier Di Placido, Scott Sinclair, Andy Bolus, Jean Philippe Gross, C_C and many others.

Andrzej Zaleski is one of the most original and unknown musicians of his genre, even though he has played with cult bands like Multicide and Mitch and Mitch.
His spastic and wild style, at the border between rock, jazz and electro-acoustic, usually accompanied by a surreal use of his voice, make him an absolutely genial and unclassifiable musician.
Always open to improvisation and meeting, Andrzej has collaborated with musicians like David Moss, Joe Giardullo, Eugene Chadbourne, Charles Hayward, John Hegre, Tatsuya Yoshida, Pavel Fajt, Małe Instrumenty, Johannes Bergmark, Ralf Wehowski, and many others.
