Zbiór kompozycji "Nightbook" autorstwa włoskiego kompozytora Ludovico Einaudi znany jest z wielokrotnie nagradzanego francuskiego filmu "Intouchables" (2011). Zwykle jednak Einaudi sam wykonuje (i nagrywa) swoje kompozycje - muzyka jego rzadko kiedy jest wykonywana przez innych artystów, a Hanna Devich jest pierwszą pianistką, która ośmieliła się nagrać całość na płycie CD. Devich prezentuje tu wizję tych kompozycji pełną pasji i emocji, która pięknie kontrastuje z oryginalną wersją.

W ostatnich kilku latach pianistka Hanna Devich stała się znaną wykonawczynią głównie dzięki prowadzeniu autorskiego zespołu The Devich Trio. "Nightbook" to jej pierwszy solowy projekt, który we wspaniały sposób ukazuje nie tylko jej rozległą wiedzę muzyczną, ale również głębokie zakorzenienie w tradycji muzyki klasycznej. W jej grze odkrywa się głębokie powinowactwo choćby z muzyką Fryderyka Chopina (liczne odwołania do jego nokturnów). Nagrania solo pozwoliły jej dać upust własnej kreatywności, zawrzeć w muzyce maksimum szarpiących artystką emocji i ukazać w pełni jej wykonawczy temperament.

Hanna Devich urodziła się w Budapeszcie i pochodzi z rodziny o muzycznych tradycjach. Od najmłodszych lat kształciła się grze na fortepianie, a gdy miała lat dziesięć dołączyła do "klasy młodych talentów" w budapesztańskiej Akademii Franciszka Liszta. Dyplom otrzymała w roku 1991, a następnie kontynuowała naukę korzystając z kursów mistrzowskich u Gyorgy Seboka, Gyorgy Kurtága, Zoltana Kocsisa, no i jej ojca, Sandora Devicha.

Hanna Devich od wielu lat mieszka w Holandii, gdzie jest niezwykle ceniona jako pianistka - występuje i nagrywa jako solistka i kameralistka. Jest także niezwykle ceniona jako akompaniatorka solowych recitali wokalnych. Jednak dopiero teraz, realizując program z kompozycjami Einaudiego możemy w pełni poznać jej niezwykły kunszt, kreatywność i temperament!

The music of this composer and artist is rarely performed by other artists, Hanna Devich is the first pianist daring to release this exciting piece on CD. Devich presents the piece with great passion and emotion, which beautifully contrasts the original version.

In the past few years, Hanna Devich has been very successful with the Devich trio. “Nightbook”, her first solo project, not only reflects her extensive musical knowledge but also her roots in classical music. In her playing she discovers parallels with the nocturnes of Frédéric Chopin. Playing solo enabled her to put all her emotions and creativity into her music and gives room to her temperament.

The pianist Hanna Devich was born in Budapest and comes from a musical family. She was invited at the tender age of ten to join the young talent class of the Franz Liszt Academy of Budapest. Here she received her soloist diploma in 1991. She followed masterclasses from Gyorgy Sebok, Gyorgy Kurtag, Zoltan Kocsis and of course from her father, Sandor Devich.

Hanna Devich has been living in The Netherlands for a number of years and is well loved as a concert pianist, having performed and recorded extensively as soloist and chamber musician. She also is an experienced chamber music coach. As a member of the Ensemble Contrasten, Hanna won the third prize in the International Chamber Music Competition of Caltanisetta.

Together with soprano Vera Lansink she formed a duo performing songs by Gershwin, Bernstein and many other romantic works. In 2005 Hanna made the first recording of the Piano Concerto by Geza Frid for Hungaroton. In 2003 she met the South African violinist Sarah Oates and the Dutch cellist Jasper Havelaar. After their first performance in Germany, the three were convinced they had found the ideal chamber music partners.

In a short time the Devich Trio managed to show a very impressive repertoire list. The number of concert engagements is increasing every year, with bookings in Holland, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Singapore, India and Curacao. In 2005 the trio won the public prize at the Uitmarkt in the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam.
