This two-fer CD collects the entirety of two albums by post-bop guitarist Jim Hall, 1956's BLUES ON THE ROCKS and 1960's GOOD FRIDAY BLUES.

This CD features Jim Hall's complete trio recordings with bassist George Duvivier and drummer Chico Hamilton as heard on the album Blues On The rock recorded in Los Angeles on February 8, 1956. This release also includes the complete album Good Friday Blues recorded in Los Angeles on April 1 & 2, 1960 with pianist Red Mitchell and bassist Red Kelly.
