Malene Mortensen to ponętna Dunka, a jej zdjęcia w negliżu zachęcają do sprawdzenia, co ma do zaproponowania jako wokalistka. Otóz nie jest źle. Chociaż Malene nie dysponuje potężnym jazzowym głosem, a raczej pośpiewuje sobie wdzięcznie i po dziewczęcemu, całość muzyki się broni. Popjazzowe kompozycje są proste i oszczędnie zaaranżowane, a sola krótkie i na temat. Nic nie boli. Czyż nie o to chodzi ?

Jak głosi legenda, nastoletnią Malene odkrył słynny, nieżyjący już duński kontrabasista, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen, współpracownik Milesa Davisa, Johna Scofielda i Oscara Petersona.
