Budapest-born, Frankfurt-based saxophonist Tony Lakatos is without a doubt one of the European masters of his instrument, and has a track record of over 150 CD productions as leader or sideman, with musicians including Al Foster, Joanne Brackeen, Terri Lynne Carrington, Anthony Jackson, Kirk Lightsey and Wolfgang Haffner - as well as being a core member of the Frankfurt Radio Bigband.

Although deeply rooted in the American idiom, the attraction of this album lies in the bridge forged between Lakatos and his European comrades-in-arms Axel Schlosser on trumpet and Robi Botos on piano - driven by a top-quality, well-oiled rhythm machine with Robert Hurst on double bass and Billy Drummond on drums.
