Carmen Cuesta-Loeb zaczynała śpiewając w teatrach w Madrycie. Gdy wyszła za mąż za Chucka Loeba (popularnego W USA gitarzystę smooth-jazzowego) przeniosła się do USA.
Po przeprowadzce do Nowego Jorku zaczęła występować w Blue Note. Dziś grywa z takimi muzykami jak: Grover Washington Jr., Michael Franks, Will Lee, Gato Barbieri, Peabo Bryson, Earl Klugh, Jim Hall, Till Brönner i Fessler. Artystka dotychczas wydała cztery albumy. Najnowszy to "You Still Don't Know Me".

Miłośnicy muzyki improwizowanej często pogardliwie patrzą na produkcje spod znaku „smooth jazz”. Gatunek ten stworzono z myślą o mniej wymagających odbiorcach, którzy lubią posłuchać przyjemnych melodii w dobrym wykonaniu. „Smooth jazz” grają jednak czasami wytrawni muzycy, zaliczani do instrumentalnej czołówki. Tak jest np. w przypadku płyty „You Still Don’t Know Me”.
Carmen Cuesta-Loeb jest współautorką wszystkich kompozycji, a do studia zaprosiła takich wyjadaczy, jak Michael Brecker, Till Brönner i Wolfgang Haffner. Na gitarach i klawiszach gra Chuck Loeb, stały muzyczny partner i towarzysz życia artystki. Jest on nie tylko mistrzem gitary akustycznej, ale w utworze „Tarde” pokazuje, że również z powodzeniem może pociągnąć rockową solówkę.
Główną zaletą albumu są interpretacje. Mimo lekkiej, przyswajalnej prawie dla każdego konwencji, pojawia się tu kilka instrumentalnych smaczków, jak chociażby występ wspomnianego Michaela Breckera w „Todo para ti” czy świetna parta basu, na którym gra Will Lee, w piosence „In the Rain”. W sumie jazzu jest niewiele, ale godzinny relaks zapewniony.
