The 4 Seasons w interpretacji Tim Kliphuis Trio & Orchestra kipi emocjonującymi pomysłami, jednak w przeciwieństwie chociażby do Maxa Richtera, który potwornie zubożył dzieło Vivaldiego, pozbawiając je wibrujących detali, tak charakterystycznych dla barokowej muzyki, Tim Kliphui obchodzi się z oryginałem z wielką delikatnością, stawiając raczej na emocje piano, nie forte. Wykwintne improwizacje, zmysłowe interakcje, ciekawie dobrany program płyty, adekwatna praca orkiestry dają w efekcie bardzo udany album.

Violinist Tim Kliphuis and his Trio are one of the hottest acts on the acoustic music scene. Their revolutionary approach to classical music has them perform breathtaking arrangements of music by Vivaldi (Four Seasons), Copland, Pachelbel, Vaughan Williams, Paganini and many others. Classical, gypsy jazz and folk elements meet in a totally new style that sings, swings and surprises.

Tim Kliphuis (violin) combines the perfection of classical and the freedom of gypsy music. Since his debut with Belgian gypsy jazz guitarist Fapy Lafertin he has shared the stage with fiddle star Frankie Gavin, accordeon giant Richard Galliano and the late guitar legend, Les Paul.

Nigel Clark (guitar) moves easily between the worlds of folk, rock and jazz. He was a member of Scottish group Hue & Cry and collaborated with singers Moya Brennan and Gloria Gaynor, as well as guitarist Jan Akkerman and Scottish jazz legend Carol Kidd.

Roy Percy (bass) brings the driving rhythms of New Orleans to the Trio, his unique slap bass techniques are unrivaled in Europe. He is a member of the Classic Jazz Orchestra, Scotland’s premier gypsy jazz group Swing 2016 and worked with reedsmen Forrie Cairns, Alan Barnes and Duke Heitger.
