Not released until more than two decades after it was recorded, this collection reissuing and remastering Braxton's outstanding radio concert for Radio DRS in Safranzunft, Basel in 1977 in a quintet documents one of Anthony Braxton's most important small groups with George Lewis on trombone, Muhal Richard Abrams on piano, Mark Helias on bass and Charles "Bobo" Shaw on drums. This super quintet meets expectations, and the historically important set should achieve some sort of critical, if not cult, status.
