When Magic Sam passed away in 1969 at the age of 32, the world lost one of the greatest bluesmen of all time, robbing Sam of his place in blues history. He, along with a very few others, created the West Side style of Chicago blues. His two studio albums, "West Side Soul" (Delmark 615), and "Black Magic" (Delmark 620) are classics as is "Magic Sam Live" (Delmark 645), an album containing two live performances one of which took us directly into a west side club. "Rockin' Wild In Chicago" features previously unissued performances at the Copacabana ('66), The Alex Club ('63 and '64) and Mother Blues ('68). * Sixteen songs, more than a full hour of live Chicago Blues.
