Editor's info:
Change, an unavoidable factor in our lives and those of our predecessors, is a recurrent theme in music and poetry throughout the centuries, and also the thread behind the story told in this record.

In Nikos Egonopoulos’s poem Rodia=SO2H4 the poet dreams of a ‘garden with countless windows’: an impossible,ever-changing landscape in which seemingly incompatible stories can connect and interact to form a fascinating narrative. Inspired by this image, AroDynamic presents a collection of poetic and musical reflections on change.

Soprano Harma Everts and recorder players Stephanie Brandt and María Martínez Ayerza founded AroDynamic in June 2004, after concluding their studies at the conservatoires of The Hague and Amsterdam. The name of the group refers to the moving airthat produces and transmits the sound of the voice and the recorders.

The trio explores the expressive possibilities of the voice in combination with the complete recorder family, as well as the use of visual elements such as dance, movement, video projections, costumes or theatrical elements to engage, move and surprise the audience. AroDynamic works regularly with international composers and visual artists, generating new repertoire for this unique setting.
